RMS Principal - Jeff Frasure

Greetings Russell Middle School Parents, Students, and Friends:

It is such an honor to be sitting here writing this.  I am a 1995 graduate of Russell High School and walked the middle school halls in the late 80’s early 90’s.  I’m humbled to be back home and excited to pick up where my predecessors have taken our school.  With this opportunity comes great responsibility, and I’m blessed for the challenges that await.

Russell Middle School is home to an amazing group of 519 students in grades sixth through eighth. Our commitment to academic excellence is recognized across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Russell Independent Schools was ranked #1 according to Niche.com in the Huntington Area and ranked #8 in the entire state of Kentucky. Students have achieved individual and team accolades in athletics, fine arts, and community service throughout the years.

Russell Middle School provides students the opportunity to develop character and express their interests through unique learning experiences. Russell Middle School offers twenty-two athletic teams and nine clubs for students to be engaged in.

The key aspect of Russell’s exemplary learning environment is the staff. The staff believes they are here for one reason and that is to serve students. Students are the most important people at Russell Middle School.  The students' safety is always at the forefront of every adult in our building.  Our positive behavior incentives are evident throughout our building helping develop a positive school climate and culture.
